Miss Independent

My sweet Celia and I had a rough night last night. She's not feeling so hot, and didn't sleep well. And she was up at five wanting to shower with me. So, I put her back to bed and let her sleep in. Which turned out to be fun! I got to snuggle my girl, feed her breakfast, and get her all dolled up for preschool. She looked so darling in her little skirt with her huge backpack on. I asked if she wanted me to walk her over to preschool. She told me she was 'big' and could do it herself. So, I asked her if I could please walk with her because I don't get to ever take her there. "Ok" she says, "You can walk a little way". When we got to 'a little way', I asked if I could just walk her a little more. "Ok Mom. You walk behind me. I'm big." I managed to walk her to the door without embarrassing her too much and even got a little kiss. Wow. When did my little three year old grow up?
